From the moment we opened our doors on Aussie shores, we’ve been known as the ultimate coffee crafters. But our expertise extends well beyond the bean. Coffee’s close relative, tea, is another one of our specialties.
So if you want to try something new, don’t *love* the taste of coffee or just prefer the tea-girlie lifestyle, the Starbucks tea range is a game changer.
What types of tea does Starbucks have?
If you’ve tried our coffee, you’ll know we don’t do things by halves. Bland never enters the chat, and our beverages could easily be mistaken for works of art. It won’t surprise you to hear then, that the same goes for our tea range.
Hot, cold, with or without foam, a number of milk options, fruity-flavoured syrups, lemonade variations… the list goes on.
So where to begin? Well, with one of the best.
The ever-popular Starbucks Matcha
We’ve seen the demand for matcha-flavoured beverages well and truly explode. If you’re in your matcha era, our menu offers SO many different types.
When the weather cools down, a warm cup of hot matcha is an absolute must. Just as the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte, poured over ice, is the perfect pick-me-up on warmer days. And of course we couldn’t resist crafting our signature Frappuccino® with matcha to round out the trio.
We also happen to know that strawberry pairs incredibly well with matcha. So we’ve added it to lots of matcha variations – like the Iced Matcha with Strawberry Cold Foam (also available hot) or the Strawberry Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino®.
But it doesn’t end there. Keep your eyes peeled for different limited-time flavours with matcha, too. (Like our Matcha-Misu Latte, which was a combination of the beloved green tea and flavours of tiramisu!)
Tried Starbucks Iced Green Tea Lemonade?
If you love matcha, you love green tea. So chances are, you’ll feel just as strongly about an Iced Green Tea Lemonade from Starbucks. In this sensation, we’ve added a dash of citrus and shaken it with ice. The result is a refreshing, punchy green tea mix with a slightly fizzy mouthfeel. And because we’ve already established strawberry and green tea are besties, you can also grab an Iced Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade.
Starbucks Chai in all its glory
The classic chai is another crowd pleaser. Try the delicious Chai Cream Frappuccino® – an icy take on the traditional chai flavours. Adjust your sweetness as you please and even opt for plant-based whipped cream! For more of a caffeine hit, you can either add espresso to your Frappuccino®, grab a Chai Tea Latte (hot or cold) or order a Dirty Chai Iced Shaken Espresso. It looks even better than it sounds, and it tastes even better still.

We hinted a little earlier at our enormous range of iced teas when we mentioned the Green Tea Lemonade. And while matcha does make up a large portion of our chilled tea range, there are some other super popular options that deserve a mention.
Taste the tang of Starbucks’ Hibiscus Tea
Just when you thought an iced tea was as refreshing as it gets, we added the Iced Hibiscus Tea Lemonade to the menu. This sip features the sweetness of the Hibiscus flower (not to mention its vibrant colour) with a hint of tang and a touch of citrus. Handshaken with ice and lemonade, it’s a taste experience that channels summer but is thirst quenching all year round.
Don’t forget about traditional tea
Yes, we love making our beverages as extravagant as possible. But if you’re after fuss-free tea without the bells and whistles, you better believe you can get it at your local Starbucks.
