    Isn't Starbucks just American Coffee?

Starbucks first opened in Seattle in 1971, and since 1984 has been serving espresso based coffee just like you’d find in any Aussie cafe, inspired by the founder’s trip to Italy! Starbucks in Australia is wholly Aussie owned and operated with a focus on serving great coffee that Australians love to drink. We’re so serious about local coffee, our head office is in Collingwood in Melbourne!

Where does Starbucks coffee come from?

Starbucks coffee beans are sourced from all of the major growing regions around the world and are graded to international standards of quality and taste. Our Signature Espresso and Blonde Espresso roasts are blends of top quality beans from around the world, roasted to perfection.

    Do you have trained Baristas?

All Starbucks partners (that’s what we call our employees) are trained baristas who can make you an expert Latte, a refreshing Shaken Iced Tea, or a creamy frozen Frappuccino® probably with their eyes closed, though we wouldn’t recommend they try!

I thought all of your Aussie stores closed down?

Nice try, but we’re growing stronger than ever! We have over 85 stores across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia you can find your local here.

What's that guy got in the cocktail shaker?

That’s our Iced Shaken Espresso the Iced Latte’s grown up older brother. Blonde espresso shots, ice, your choice of milk and a dash of your favourite flavour this one’s going to be your new favourite.

    What is an Americano?

Like a long black, but upside down perfectly pulled espresso shots, topped up with water (try it hot OR iced!).

Where did the Americano come from?

Legend has it, the drink was invented by American soldiers stationed in Italy during WWII. We don’t think you need to be under that kind of duress to enjoy it.

What's the difference between and Iced Americano and Cold Brew?

At Starbucks, we add water to a couple of shots of espresso to make an Americano (it’s pretty quick!). Our Cold Brew, however, is a special blend of super – smooth coffee that we steep slowly over 20 hours to make a black coffee drink that is sweeter and lighter, and just as easy to drink.

    What's an Iced Shaken Espresso?

We take Blonde espresso shots (our lighter, more caramelly tasting espresso) and shake them 10 times with a little bit of your favourite flavouring over ice. By shaking, we’re guaranteeing a fantastic blend of flavour and coffee. Then we pour over your choice of cold milk for the most Instagram – worthy cascade you’ve ever pointed your phone camera at.

When is the best time to enjoy an Iced Shaken Espresso?

Any time. We don’t judge (and we’re open late)!

Is it true Iced Shaken Espresso can lift your mood?

Just imagine your barista is Tom Cruise in Cocktail and he’s about to deliver the perfect blend of coffee, flavour, milk, and ice. And if you’re not old enough to get that reference, maybe try a Starbucks Strawberry Acai Refresher instead!
