Summer is officially here, which means we’re cranking up the cool on our menu!
There are SO many selections to get you ready for sunny days, so we thought you might like a bit of assistance narrowing down your choices.
To help, we sourced some of the Starbucks Australia team’s go-tos. Read on to discover what our partners recommend for keeping cool this summer.
What are some good Starbucks drinks for summer?
Looking for a cool drink for your beach days, or something to sip while lounging by the pool? The summer Starbucks menu has you sorted.
We scouted stores and infiltrated Starbucks Australia headquarters to find exactly what those in the know are drinking. And the results are in!
The winner: Starbucks frozen drinks
It was pretty unanimous. When it comes to the perfect summer drink, the Starbucks Frozen Refreshers top the list.
Mango Dragonfruit and Strawberry Açai are back on the Starbucks frozen drink scene, while the brand new Blood Orange and Cranberry also takes on an irresistible icy form.
When the heat really hits, this is the kind of brain freeze you’ll want to chase.
Starbucks Refreshers also steal the spotlight
Another top answer was the Starbucks Refresher range. No surprises there. Vibrant fruity flavours + icy refreshment = the ultimate warm-weather combo.
This summer, we’re super excited to launch the all-new Blood Orange and Cranberry Refresher. Sweet, bold and bright, it pairs beautifully with either our house lemonade or MILKLAB coconut milk.

Other popular summer Starbucks drinks
It wasn’t just Refreshers that made the list of the coolest drinks for hot weather. Our baristas said they can’t go past a sneaky Cold Brew on their break, and they’ve loved adding the super sweet caramel-flavoured topping on the new Cold Brew with Dark Caramel Cold Foam.
Another favourite is the Iced Shaken Espresso. With flavours like Salted Caramel and Brown Sugar, there are enough combinations to rotate through all summer long. You’ll also only find these beauties here. That’s right, the Iced Shaken Espresso is exclusive to Starbucks stores!
Over at Starbucks Australia HQ, the team said they can’t go past a classic Iced Tea when the temperature rises. They also let slip that the Iced Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade, the Iced Chai Latte and the Java Chip Frappuccino® all spike in demand as summer sets in!
Limited-edition drinks for summer
The Blood Orange and Cranberry Refresher isn’t the only star of our seasonal lineup.
We’re also welcoming two more sunny-day sips… one fresh on the scene and one much-loved favourite making a comeback.
DARK CARAMEL COLD BREW
Cold Brew is already a summer staple, and this one’s a must-try while it’s here. You’ll get the same signature, ultra-smooth brew (slow-steeped for 20 hours without heat) with an added swirl of caramel sauce for a unique hit of sweetness. Its deep, dark appearance gives it its name and its intrigue. Dark, mysterious and delicious, anyone?
MATCHA MISU
If you’ve read this far, you’ve earned a treat! And that’s a sneak peak into one of the favourites returning to our menu on Feb 3rd. You heard it here first: the Matcha Misu’s green tea, creamy Vanilla Mascarpone topping and sprinkling of mocha powder will be yours again very soon. Shhh, keep this one on the down-low!
