Starbucks® Espresso Roast

As its name suggests, Starbucks® Espresso Roast was designed for our espresso beverages. It has a dense, caramel-like sweetness with a soft acidity that’s delectable. Espresso Roast’s spicy aroma will permeate your kitchen and senses. An intense and balanced blend of Latin American and Indonesian coffees, Espresso Roast is roasted somewhat darker than other Starbucks coffees. The recipe was developed in the late 1970s after a long period of blending and tasting – the result speaks for itself.

Espresso Roast Decaf

We also offer decaffeinated Espresso Roast at your local Starbucks store.

Brewing Espresso Roast

The best brewing method for Espresso Roast is your home espresso machine, naturally!

Steamed milk to create a Caffè Latte, or hot water to create a Long Black.

Did you know?

Unlike many roasters, Starbucks does not use low-grade robusta beans in its espresso roast. Instead, we use only the finest arabica beans, as with all of our coffees.
