    I arrived in Sydney with great excitement, as I had been wanting to visit Australia for over a decade.

    Though always at the forefront of my thoughts as an appealing and exotic destination, when I began my international Starbucking in earnest, Europe always seemed more cost-effective. I did make two trips to the Pacific, but at those times the fares to Hong Kong and Japan were significantly cheaper.
