Partners gather in support of
Multiple Sclerosis
21 Jun 2012
In winter time is too easy to hide under blankets and stay at home drinking your favourite coffee or hot chocolate and watching movies. On Sunday the 3rd of June, the partners of Starbucks Victoria braved waking up early on a cold morning to dust of their running/walking shoes participate in the annual MS run/walk at Albert Park. The rain and the cold did threaten the event, but it did not dampen their spirits. The team arrived wearing as much red a possible (and red umbrellas too!!!) in support for the cause. What kept the team motivated to participate on such a chilly morning was the courage of those who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis beared the elements and participate in the walk too.
On the Wednesday before the event the stores participated in the “Red Lipstick Day” which was a day where people could kiss goodbye MS. The Partners dressed in red, put on their red lipstick to help raise awareness and collected donations.
Through the generosity of our customers, partners, friends and families we were able to raise a total of $2734 towards Multiple Sclerosis research.
