Africa/Arabia

Home to some of the world’s most exotic coffees, the Africa / Arabia region produces many coffees that set the highest standards for quality. Kenya and Tanzania coffees suggest images of wide‑open skies and African landscapes with jacaranda trees towering over coffee farms.

In addition to washed coffees, this region produces coffees using the natural or dry process (Yemen), as well as a combination of washed and natural processes (Ethiopia). Natural-process coffees do not rely on fermentation for flavour but develop their flavour from the coffee cherry drying completely on the bean. Coffee cherries are harvested and allowed to dry before the cherry skin and parchment are removed. This method of processing yields more exotic and unpredictable flavours such as berry, spice, cocoa and earthy.

Popular with partners and customers, coffees from the Africa / Arabia region offer unique flavour profiles treasured by coffee lovers. Seasonal coffees, such as Ethiopia Sun-Dried Sidamo® and Rwanda, provide distinct and delightful taste experiences for Coffee Masters.
